This is perhaps the most-asked question we receive at WT is - "where are the jam nights around here?"

Here are the ongoing jam nights and open mics that WT is aware of:
(if you know of more, please let us know and we'll add them!)

Sunday
- Fast Freddy's Sunday Evening Rockin' Jam with the Alan Fox Band
     Fast Freddy's - 1408 West Marshall - Longview, TX

Monday:

- The Monday Night Blues Jam @ Lee's
  639 E Kings Hwy @ Youree Drive across from Sonic, Shreveport
  The longest-running open jam in the Ark-La-Tex, hosted by local guitar legend Jerry Beach


Tuesday:


- Cody Cooke hosts an open jam at the Rustic Cowboy
  12780 Mansfield Road, in Keithville  


- Tuesday night acoustic jam w/ Talon
   Mom’s Biker Bar, 819 Ryder Drive Longview TX

- Open Jam Tuesday @ 6pm
   Bijou Ultra Lounge in the Red River District, Shreveport


Wednesday:

- Tom E Gunn's Stage Whore Extravaganza
   Every OTHER Wednesday @ Mojo's Downtown Shreveport
   Hosted by Tom E Gunn, Ben Tynan, and more.
     DATES:  Aug 25, Sept 8, 22, Oct 6, 20 and so forth and so on...

- Blues Jam @ Mom's Biker Bar
  819 Ryder Drive Longview TX
  Hosted by the Alan Fox Band, I believe

- Remedy Stick hosts an open Blues Jam
  at The Red Bull Saloon in Brownsboro, Tx. Located on Hwy 31 W just outside of Tyler

- Open Stage jam @ Muddy Waters, Bossier City
   John Parks,  acoustic guitarist/singer, Robert McMillan on bass, Bob Ingram on guitar, Brian Allison on drums.  
   They play a set then open the stage!


Thursday:

- Dirty Redd hosts a Jam every Thursday night @ the Noble Savage Tavern
  417 Texas Street downtown Shreveport.

- Open mic @ the Half Moon, 16884 FM 2493  Tyler, TX
  hosted by Grant Cook, I believe.

- Remedy Stick hosts an open Blues Jam at
  The Pirates Club in Hawkins, Tx. located right off of Hwy 80 just 3 miles west of Hawkins

- John and Friends host an open mic night at Harley's Pub
  903 Barksdale Blvd, Bossier City, LA

Friday
- Open Mic on Friday nights
   Cougars (Formerly Diver Down & Harleys Pub) in Bossier City

Do you know if this is an ongoing open mic, or a one-night-stand?

Doc, I've received notices for the last three weeks (since November 17th), so I have to assume that it IS, in fact an ongoing thing.  As with most Open Mic/Jam Nights it would be a good idea to call first and make sure it's still happening.  The Rustic Cowboy's number is 775-5327.  I haven't had a chance to check it out due to other obligations.  I did talk with Cody Cooke (who's hosting it) at one of our gigs in Mansfield a couple of weeks ago, and he mentioned it.

Thanks again, Doc & Paige for all y'all do for the local music scene!  Y'all put Wicked Tickle up almost overnight when the other music forum pulled the plug, and haven't stopped since!
